Angola

There is

variation

temperature
as Angola
lies
between the
equator the
Tropic of
Capricon.

southern

cold Atlantic Ocean on the west by a low-lying coastal plain.

The Fortresses Fortaleza de Sao Miguel and Fortaleza Sao Pedro da Barra
are
impressive.
MAJOR CITIES
Luanda
is the capital of Angola.
Malange is the second largest city. Major towns
are Chitato, Huambo, Cabinda, Lobito, Dondo and N’zeto.

Huge
industrial
development
and the
presence of
foreigner
workers
have put a
strain on accommodation
places. Book
accommodation well in advance. The
hotels and guest houses have recently undergone a renovation.
GETTING THERE
TAAG
(Angolan
Airways) is
the
country’s
national
airline and
Fevereiro Airport is situated 4kms from Luanda. There are a number of smaller airlines that operate in the country.
CLOTHING
Most days
are warm throughout the day, but
jackets and jerseys are advisable for the evening. For business, suits are worn
although the Angolan people wear safari-suits or open neck shirts.
